| We followed this truck to Deadwood with a
tank in the back that said H20 on it. It was dripping
everywhere and blowing off the back of the truck. I just
HOPE it was H20. Reminded me of Chevy Chase in Modern
Problems with radioactive material flying off the truck in
front of him! |

| The biggest part of Deadwood has burned to the
ground three times. Many of the original historic buildings are
gone so they built this "re-enactment" which
aren't really buildings. There's no back to it. |

Notes: On the way there, we noticed a small fire in the
hills by I-90. Just a little smoke. On the way back it was
bigger. The news is now saying it's a full blown forest fire and
they're evacuating that portion by I-90. It's already burned
about 30 acres. Let's hope they get it
put out before it burns very far. This is a very beautiful
forest area. |
| Tomorrow's Plans: Heading for
Billings, MT. Well actually a little south of Billings where the
Battle of the Little Big Horn was fought. We will welcome cooler
temperatures. A cold front is moving through the area and the
forecast for Montana is 76 for a high. |
