See The USA - Day 19 - Fernley, NV
July 20, 2005 - We left at 6:30 AM headed for Nevada. We decided to go all two lane roads instead of going out of our way to take the interstate. Good choice. You miss a lot going the interstate. We arrived in Fernley, NV about 4:30 PM and settled in at Desert Rose RV Park.

Here's a lava flow just outside Bend, OR.

Two lane roads give you much more to see than interstates. It also took a while to get around this horse trailer in front of us!

This is Klamath Lake in Klamath Falls, OR.

Welcome to California! We took 395 through the north eastern corner of California to get to Nevada.

Blow up the picture and you can see Mt. Shasta.

Lady's ON THE JOB!

This is right before the Nevada border. It's also right when the batteries died in the camera!

Total Miles driven today: 467
Today's Avg MPG 12.7
Total Trip Miles: 4138
Tomorrow's Plans: We're headed for Las Vegas, Nevada via Hwy 95. Right past AREA 51!
