See The USA - Day 11 - Missoula, MT
July 12, 2005 - We pulled out about 7 AM this morning. Let me tell you, between Billings, MT and Missoula, MT there's a whole lot of nothing but scenery. A few little towns and that's about it. We arrived in Missoula about 3 PM and are overnighting at the KOA.

Okay, here's some scenery.

Blow this picture up and look close. You can see the mountains in the background. You will see them again!

Another Rest Area picture.

There they are again.

And again.

And again!

The closer we get to western Montana, the more trees there are.

This princess and her pillow. Lady takes this job seriously!

Total Miles driven today: 400
Today's Avg MPG 11.7
Total Trip Miles: 2850
Today's Notes: We are getting TIRED. Also, I've noticed the fuel mileage dropping steady after we left Wisconsin. I found that strange because most of it was pretty flat land. The last three tanks I used the Flying J truck stops and all of a sudden the fuel mileage jumped up. Even pulling through the mountains in Montana I got 11.7 MPG (Blowing past the Fords by the way...:). I think I know where to buy fuel now.
Tomorrow's Plans: We're headed for Yakima, WA tomorrow. About 400 miles. We have plans to meet friends in Sisters, OR on the 16th and have reservations at Mountain Shadow RV Resort for three nights there. Tomorrow we want to get within 200 miles of Sisters for an easy pull on Saturday. We plan to hole up in a Washington State Park in Yakima for two days and three nights and DO NOTHING. I reserved online at the park and we're both looking forward to some REST.
