Full Timing Journal - January 2011

January 23, 2011 - A change to the plans. Chrysler is telling me that the car cannot be towed four down even with a lube pump. Even though Remco makes a kit for it. Not sure who to believe but I don't want to take any chances on burning up the transmission. So we're now back to buying a trailer to haul it on. I found one in Edinburgh for a good price so that's what we'll do. I'll pick it up next week and get it ready for traveling. So we're back on for Arizona the first part of April. We'll head up to San Antonio the last week of March for a Challenger Roundup and then head west.

January 21, 2011 - Not much happening since November. One new addition to the car stable, Debbie's new Dodge Challenger R/T. Debbie didn't like me having all the fun so now she has her own. I traded the Jeep for the white one on Wednesday. Now I have to get it set up to be towed behind the motorhome. I contacted Blue Ox in Nebraska to build a custom baseplate for it and to my surprise, they wanted a Challenger to build one for. SOOOO, they will build it for ZIP, ZILCH, NADA. FREE. And give us a new tow bar to go with it. All we have to do is take it to Nebraska when we leave here. It will also need a lube pump so the transmission doesn't fry itself while being towed in neutral. What a deal. I was not looking forward to leaving my Challenger in storage over the summer, now we can take one with us!
