Full Timing Journal - March 2010

March 25, 2010 - We got to Bay St Louis on Tuesday and got set up at the Hollywood RV Park. It is a pretty decent place, especially since we have four free nights in coupons. Free is for me. Debbie started things off yesterday with a Royal Flush at the Isle in Biloxi. Luck finally turned my way later in the day at the Hollywood and I got my first Royal of 2010. Saturday we'll head for Gulf Shores to meet up with our friends Tim & Jean and also Paul & Rosemarie. Looking forward to seeing them all and getting some good seafood.

March 23, 2010 - People never cease to amaze me. We stayed two nights at Red Shoes RV Park in Kinder, LA. It's part of the Coushatta Casino. A VERY nice park, well laid out with full hookups and concrete pads and patios for $17 per night. And across the road in the casino parking lot there are numerous RV's "camped out". Jacks down, slides out, satellite dishes sitting in the parking lot. Are these people so cheap that they won't spend $17 for a nice full hook up site? If they're that broke, they shouldn't be at a CASINO. Simply amazing. As for the casino, we like it. The buffet is excellent, but it is not cheap. We were given two free tickets so we took advantage of it, but NO buffet is worth $12 each. Debbie did her "usual". In just over an hour's time, 2 Royal Flushes, 1 Straight Flush and 1 Four Aces. I did my usual,,,I lost (but not much). We've been here three times and I can honestly say that this is one of the few casinos that you can play for awhile and get some entertainment for your entertainment money.

March 22, 2010 - Back on the road again. Wow what a terrible winter we had in the Valley. Cold, cloudy, windy and just plain nasty. Spent most of the winter inside watching TV. It was finally starting to warm up and it was time to leave. We left the valley and headed right into another COLD FRONT. We overnighted in Victoria, TX, (33 degrees) and then headed to Kinder, LA to Red Shoes RV Park (41 degrees). Will this winter ever end?? Hey Al, what about some of that GLOBAL WARMING???

Ever since our GOVT started talking about destroying our health care system, the price of Plavix has steadily increased. I paid $381 for a three month supply in June last year. Last week it was $500. Now that this health care NIGHTMARE is about to begin, I expect it will double in price soon. Hold on to your wallets!!! The Government is taking over! And all you old people, you may as well just get ready to die because that's what the GOVT thinks of you now! Our only recourse is to VOTE THEM ALL OUT IN NOVEMBER! CLEAN HOUSE!
