April 22, 2009 - After the site we had in South Carolina,
here's the huge disappointment we got when we arrived at the
Escapees park north of Knoxville, TN. Nothing like having a
dually in your living space huh? If these sites were any
closer we'd have to get a marriage license for the two
RV's. There is absolutely no place to park your vehicle here.
These are the longest sites in the park and I barely squeezed
the jeep in the back sideways.

April 19, 2009 - Here's a couple pictures of the high
priced park we stayed at in Hilton Head. We had a
"very" nice site but not sure it's worth $350 for a
week. It was however close to the golf tournament so that's
worth something.

April 16, 2009 - While we were in Georgia I arranged for
a transporter to take our Everest to our lot in Texas. By the
end of the month it should be there. Now on to South Carolina.
We arrived here Monday and the rains came. It poured most of the
afternoon and all night. Tuesday was semi-decent and we drove
into Savannah. That town is a madhouse. Today we went out to the
Verizon Heritage Golf Tournament and watched the Pro-Am. I had a
great time seeing the Pros that I have only seen on TV. None of
them asked for my autograph though.

April 6, 2009 - Arrived in Elko, GA, just down the road
from Stephanie's place. We'll stay here a week before heading to
Hilton Head Island, SC. Cold and windy here. I left Texas for
this??

April 5, 2009 - Today we went to Tacky Jacks in Fort
Morgan for the sunset. It's a bar and grill basically but it has
outside seating and it's right on Mobile Bay. I always try out
the seafood gumbo whenever we're near the coast. Let's just say
the gumbo at Tacky Jack's leaves a little to be desired. First
time I've ever had gumbo that had corn instead of okra in it.
Very strange. Rain coming again
tomorrow...

April 3, 2009 - FINALLY the rain has stopped and we have
a beautiful day. We went out exploring today with Tim & Jean
and had lunch at Doc's Seafood. EXCELLENT. Drove through Gulf
State Park and the damage from IVAN is still very visible.
Amazing how the Gulf Shores area has rebuilt from the hurricane
as far as the businesses and homes are concerned. You would
never know there was that much damage only five years ago.
Especially when you see the MS gulf coast today 3 1/2
years after Katrina and there's not much there. We'll be leaving
here on Monday headed for Elko, GA to stay at Twin Oaks RV Park.
We'll visit Stephanie and our Everest while we're there.
