Full Timing Journal - September 2008

September 28, 2008 - We left Indiana this morning headed to TN. There are no RV parks in our home area so we'll be boondocking it at our friends business. Street Rods by Michael. Thanks a ton to Michael and Rose for letting us use a piece of your ground for a few days!

September 21, 2008 - Today we moved south 240 miles to Batesville, IN to another membership park. This one is much nicer. Well kept grounds and 50 amp (finally). Clear shot for satellite and a 9 hole golf course onsite. I know where I'll be spending some of my time. We'll stay here until Sunday, and then head for Tennessee.

September 14, 2008 - We moved 12 miles over to Erie Islands RV Resort, one of the parks in our ROD membership. It was a pretty decent place except for the permanents living there. Trashy!

September 11, 2008 - Yesterday we took the ferry out to Kelley's Island with Tim & Jean. Once there we rented a golf cart and rode around the island. Tourist season is over so it was not crowded on the island and we had a great time.

September 9, 2008 - We made the short trip to Port Clinton, OH on Sunday to meet up with some friends at East Harbor State Park. John & Jan were already there when we arrived. Tim & Jean showed up a few hours later. A very nice state park with full hookup site and 50 amp. Debbie was smiling again. Sunday night we stayed up late around the fire. Monday was a nice day with lots of sunshine until about 5 o'clock, a few clouds rolled in around the time we were going to cook out but no rain fell and the cookout was a success. Another campfire but a short night and everyone packed it in around 9. BTW, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEBBIE!!

September 3, 2008 - One place we've wanted to go is the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn. We took a road trip today with Bob & Nancy to the museum. We walked the museum for three hours and still didn't see it all, although we saw everything we were interested in. LOTS of things here of interest. We enjoyed the trip and stopped at Famous Dave's BBQ on the way home.
