July 27, 2008 - We've had a great time this week visiting
with Larry & Phyllis but it's time to head back to Hartland.
We arrived back at Waldenwoods about 12:30 PM and got set up.
This marks the first time I've run into a REALLY rude camper.
Our "neighbors" to our left attacked me as soon as we
setup. Apparently our motorhome was blocking her view of the
dump station and the storage lot and she DEMANDED that I back
up. I tried to explain to her that if I backed up, once I
leveled, the front wheels would be off the ground because of the
slope. She proceeded to tell me this was Bull**** and headed to
the office to "report" me. I laughed at her as she
came back from the office with her head turned away from me. I would have liked to have been a fly
on the wall in the office when they heard that story!

July 20, 2008 - We left Standish (finally) and arrived in
Alpena, MI at Camper's Cove. Once again, no satellite. However
we do have decent cell phone coverage here and marginal aircard.
We came up here to meet up with our friends Larry & Phyllis
that we met in Mission, TX last winter. We got set up and headed
over to their house. Larry cooked out some barbeque chicken and
we sat around and enjoyed the cool weather.

July 14, 2008 - This was a mistake. Little or no cell
phone coverage and only a handful of sites that we can get
satellite. Of course we're NOT in one of them. This park is a
ZOO with a capital Z. Millions of kids everywhere. The speed
limit in this park is 5 mph which is a LITTLE extreme. The
management constantly threatens you about the speed limit and
they fly all over the park at 30+ mph. We won't be back here.

July 13, 2008 - Our two weeks at Waldenwoods are up and
we're headed for Standish, MI to Saginaw Bay Resort.

July 4, 2008 - Waldenwoods put on a great fireworks show
tonight. Bob & Nancy and Danny & Cheryl came over. We
cooked out burgers, had a nice fire and watched the fireworks.
Cool weather in July, it doesn't get any better than this.
