Full Timing Journal - February 2008

February 15, 2008 - The rock work is done. I ordered 17 tons of rock and they delivered 22. Moses made it all fit though. The last step for this year is to paint the shed.

February 8, 2008 - The rock work is proceeding well. The border is run down one side and all the excess dirt and rocks is removed. In case you're wondering, no, I'm not doing all this work. I hired it out to the local rock guy, Moses. But he's doing a great job, much better than I could have done!

February 7, 2008 - The concrete was poured first thing on Monday morning. By afternoon it could already be walked on. On Tuesday we took a day trip to South Padre Island and ate at Dirty Al's. Wow, the best shrimp we've ever had! The wind was blowing very hard so we didn't get out and walk the beach. We would have ended up in another county. Wednesday we went to Miami Palm and picked us out three nice palm trees. For just a little more money, they came right out to the lot and planted them for us.

February 2, 2008 - Now the work begins. I had a 12' X 8' shed built at Hernandez Barns. I ordered it on Wednesday afternoon and they delivered it Friday morning, right on time. Some paint and it'll be just right. We looked around at patio furniture but it was all SOOO expensive for something that would only get used four months out of the year. So Wal Mart fit the bill with an inexpensive set that suits us. We need to extend our patio area so the local concrete guy came out and formed it up for us. They should pour the concrete on Monday.
