October 24, 2008 - George and Mike showed up bright and
early this morning to finish the awning. They were here Tuesday
and sunk the poles in concrete. 3 hours is all it took to finish
it up. After they left I went to Home Depot and got two white
rope lights, clamps and screws and mounted them under the lip
around three sides of the awning. It's the perfect amount of
light after dark. Not bright, just right.

October 18, 2008 - Not a lot going on here, just enjoying
the warm Texas weather. We had a local carpenter build us a deck
for the door of the motorhome. He made it so the stairs can be
detached and the deck moved when we get ready to roll. Now we
need to stain it. The same guy is also the one that is going to
build our patio awning. The parts should be in Thursday and
hopefully next weekend I'll have some shade!

October 6, 2008 - We're back on our lot at Leisure Valley
Ranch. We'll be here until late April. Maybe a side trip or two
to break up the monotony. We're going to have a patio awning
installed as soon as I can find someone to put it up. Need some
relief from the sun. It's still pretty warm in south Texas!

October 2, 2008 - We left TN this morning and headed down
to Robinsonville, MS. Just a quick stop and then we'll be headed
for Mission, TX
