Full Timing Journal - August 2007

August 19, 2007 - We've had a great time in this area visiting with family. I don't get to see them very often and it has been fun. Craig and Delores took us to a Cubs game yesterday, and to Giordano's pizza in Chicago. The best pizza is in CHICAGO! The Cubs game was fun. It was nice to go to Wrigley Field. Although it rained almost the whole game. We finally left in the 7th inning when it started pouring again. It was a good call, the game was delayed a couple hours. The Cubs finally did win the game after it resumed. We'll be packing things up today for our move to Goshen, IN tomorrow. We're looking forward to the Everest Rally and meeting up with some friends and meeting some new ones.
Wrigley Field, with the tarp on.

August 10, 2007 - Arrived in Roselawn, IN at Oak Lake Campground. A rustic park that is a lot like a state park, only pricier. They "fee" you to death for everything. Will stay here a week to visit with my cousin Craig (and others) and my Aunt Connie. Then head for Goshen on the 20th. Picture below is our setup at Oak Lake.

August 9, 2007 - We left TN and stopped for the night in Edinburgh, IN just south of Indianapolis at Driftwood Camp. Not much of a place, not even worth rating.

August 1, 2007 - Arrived at the house and boondocked it overnight. A trip to Lowes on Thursday to get a 50 amp breaker and some wire and I rigged us a 50 amp connection. We'll stay until the 9th if we can stand this 100 degree heat and take care of some business and see my Mom and a few friends.
